Oh Fudge!

This fudge recipe came from my Aunt Cindy, and she got it from the back of a condensed milk can. Good things can be found in the most bizarre places.

This is the easiest dessert I've ever made, and so incredibly delicious. I think it took me 5 minutes to prepare the fudge before sticking it in the fridge. This just might be dangerous.

What's in it
3 C (18 oz) semi sweet chocolate chips
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
dash of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
chopped nuts (optional)

How it's made
Find a 9 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
Over low heat, melt chocolate, salt and condensed milk. Stir often to avoid burning. Remove from heat, then stir in vanilla. Mix in chopped nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate 2 hours till firm. Turn fudge upside down on cutting board and peel off paper. Cut into squares.

  1. I got Jeanne's fudge recipe as well. I haven't made it yet, but I remember it being delicious. I'll post it for comparison. You just can't go wrong with fudge.

  2. Also, this is what I was talking about--finding and collecting recipes from all over. I keep all kinds of recipes from packages--from Ghiradelli chocolate wrappers to the puff pastry box. You never know when you'll stumble upon something wonderful.

  3. Yeah, totally post Jeanne's. I always thought fudge was hard to make, but I think that's because the recipe my mom had really was a pain in the butt.
